DRAWING & CRITIQUELife class: drawing from the live model. Learning to "see" and evaluate the relationship of form through the shades of light and dark.
Developing visual acuity with negative space, contour and memory drawing. Learning the workings of the human body through the study of the anatomy. Progressing from superficial vision to the interpretation of the fluidity of the human body. You are taught and encouraged to develop drawing techniques through the use of all media; charcoal, pencil, pastel, watercolor, oil sticks, etc. CRITIQUEEach drawing class is followed by a critique where you display your work. The instructor then critiques each individual's drawings.
You will participate and learn from each other's successes. There is no competition between students. You are in competition with your own best work in your quest for achievement. In this way the class becomes a support system for each individual. |
