ABOUT THE COLLEGE PORTFOLIO PROGRAM

A professional program for high school art students and all others, specially structured to prepare a portfolio for admission to the college or art school of their choice.

This activity bridges the gap between high school and college by giving young artists an opportunity to work in a professional studio atmosphere with instructors who are professional working artists.

The complete HSFA College Prep Portfolio Program is a two year program starting in the high school junior year and continuing through the high school senior year.

It consists of three 3-hour classes each week in painting, drawing, and sculpture for 36 weeks each year.

All students receive constant analysis by the faculty to determine the individual direction needed to fulfill their educational future.

We believe...that teaching is best accomplished in a highly motivated group with as close to one-on-one communication between student and teacher as possible. Students begin at their own point of development and progress from there...beginners and advanced alike.
