FINE ART IN CONCERT

In an elegant melding of music and art, students draw, paint and sculpt in a variety of media as musicians play expressionistic jazz merging all creativity to a single conceptual endeavor.

The ambiance is enhanced as 200 candles light up the art studio.

"..a wonderful unification took place as everyone used the central energy to produce their very individual results. It was the music that became the fulcrum of expression, each student creating from it, sometimes in contrast, sometimes verbatim.

"They were thrown into an area with a completely new dimension and they came through it with a feeling of great accomplishment.

"They are still talking about it, and most importantly, they are applying the residual enthusiasm and experience to their work. As one student said, 'I will never paint the same way again.

"I think you and I know the success of the concert was due to our own broad based knowledge of the creative process; be it visual art, literature, dance or music. We have decided it will be a permanent event in our program. "
