SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

For High School Art Students

In the spring of each year, HFA sponsors a talent competition for High School art students. This year our competition will be:

Saturday, February 27th, 2010:
9am - 1pm

All applicants will be required to attend a drawing class at The Huntington Fine Arts on Saturday, February 27th, 2010. This will be a three hour session from 10am - 1pm. Please be at the school at 9am for setup.

Students will draw from the live nude model for the first half of the session with complete instruction. During the second half, applicants will draw from the model without instruction. This work, plus a portfolio of 3 recent drawings, paintings and/or sculptures will be the basis on which the awards are made.

There is a total of $5000 in awarded scholarships.

HSFA will supply all the materials during this competition.
To Apply: Only those students who will be a sophomore, junior or senior in the 2010-2011 school year are eligible. (Current HFA students or past students may not apply).
