The Professional Studio For Exceptional Art Students.

The HFA Story

Based on the North Shore of Long Island, Huntington Fine Arts, , was founded in 1971 by artist, teacher, and mentor Joseph Mack. For over five decades, the school has fostered creativity and discipline through its College Prep Portfolio Program and a range of classes in drawing, painting, and sculpture for students ages eight through adult.

At the heart of Huntington Fine Arts is a belief that true learning happens through close dialogue between student and teacher, within a community that values dedication, curiosity, and craft. Each student begins from their own point of development and is guided toward realizing their individual vision. Our goal is to help artists express their unique sensibility while deepening their understanding of form, color, and composition.

The mission of Huntington Fine Arts is to teach the enduring foundations of drawing, painting, and sculpture, and to inspire the next generation of artists. Through decades of teaching and mentorship, our programs have become an integral part of the region’s creative fabric—enriching the cultural life of our community and nurturing artistic excellence across generations.
