The Young Artists Program is a foundational studio course designed to build technical skill, creative confidence, and visual intelligence in students grades 3–8. Over 10 weeks, students explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media while learning the core principles that form the foundation of all strong artwork.

No prior experience is required. We meet each student where they are and guide them forward.

Program Details

Duration: 10 classes over 10 weeks
Schedule Options: Our main class takes place Tuesdays, 4–6 PM; Classes are also available on Mondays 4-6 PM and Saturdays 2-4 PM upon request
Price: $550 (10-class package)

Policy

Enrollment is sold as a 10-class package.
If a student will miss a class, parents must notify the studio in advance.
Missed classes may be made up within the same 10-week package.
The package may be extended up to two additional weeks if scheduling conflicts are communicated before the student’s first class.
No refunds or credits are issued for missed classes outside the package period.

What Students Learn

Technical & Material Skills

Students work hands-on with professional materials, including:

Charcoal and pastels
Acrylic and watercolor
Clay modeling and 3D construction
Mixed media and assemblage

They learn how to translate three-dimensional observation into strong 2D and 3D artwork while building material confidence and control.

Core Visual Foundations

Students are introduced to:

Line, form, space, and composition
Observational drawing techniques
Proportion and spatial reasoning
Developing an “artistic eye” to observe and interpret the world visually

Art History & Cultural Exposure

Students explore major movements from Impressionism to Modernism, learning how artists communicate ideas, emotion, and cultural context through visual language.

Studio Environment

Students work in a supportive, professional studio environment led by experienced instructors who provide individualized guidance. Mixed-level peer learning fosters collaboration, inspiration, and confidence-building.
